Planned gifts can be as diverse and varied as the people who make them.
All gifts, regardless of the vehicle, can be directed to whatever area of Bennington College you are most passionate about, be it scholarships, faculty, facilities, programming, or something else. Or, you can make an unrestricted gift and provide Bennington the most flexibility by allowing the College to use the gift based on its priorities and needs at that moment.
Gifts over a certain amount may also be used to create endowed funds, which are invested by the College with a percentage of the earnings annually spent as designated. These gifts provide long-term financial stability for the College and, for the donor, ensure that your fund exists in perpetuity.
Your planned gift can also make a personal statement by honoring or memorializing a loved one or friend, paying tribute to a beloved faculty member or classmate who influenced your Bennington experience profoundly, or a fund may be named after an individual with special significance to you.
